How do I book a repair?

We offer a first-class repair service and can carry out complete restorations of your favourite pieces. We can provide the following:
*Timescale may vary dependent on the item being repaired. T&Cs apply.
For rings and jewellery that you wear every-day, it’s important to keep them in tip-top condition. It is recommended that your jewellery should be cleaned at least annually, although this may vary depending on how often you wear the item(s). Dirty unkept jewellery can be a haven for bacteria which could eventually lead to skin irritation, allergies, and complete discolouration and degradation of the metals. Excess dirt and debris can also lead to gemstones becoming scratched as well.
We can complete a clean and polish of your jewellery within just three working days (excluding Saturdays, and dependent upon the total no. of items). All our cleaning services come with a complimentary inspection by our fully-qualified goldsmith who will check your items for damage and any signs of wear and tear and advise you on any necessary repairs.
If you would like to keep on top of your jewellery care and maintenance at home, we offer a wide range of cleaning products in-store including jewellery wipes, baths and the Diamond Dazzle Stick for precious stones.
If you own a piece of white gold jewellery, your piece will have been rhodium plated. Rhodium plating is conducted because:
Even though rhodium plating has many benefits, it does wear over time and your item(s) will need re-plating every so often. The frequency of this will depend on several factors including how often the piece is worn, how often it meets your skin, the thickness of the plating, and the colour of the underlying metal. Depending on these factors, plating can last from six months to ten years.
Re-rhodium plating can take between 7-10 working days (excluding Mondays and Saturdays).
Ring resizing can be done for a variety of reasons, perhaps the ring you purchased is not an ideal fit, or the wearer’s hands have simply become larger or smaller over the years.
Resizing is usually limited to 2-3 sizes either larger or smaller than the current size, any further adjustment may compromise the ring’s strength and appearance. Most rings can withstand 2-3 re-sizings within their lifespan, any further adjustments may be detrimental to its structure.
We usually give a 7-10 working day (excluding Mondays and Saturdays) on all re-size requests and can cut your ring off for you should it be required. To book your resizing please visit us in-store where one of our colleagues can assess and measure your ring and finger to ensure that we achieve the perfect fit for you.
Re-threading your pearls or beads annually ensures that your necklace or bracelet won’t break at an unexpected time, and that there’s no subsequent damage to the individual pearls of beads.
We offer a complete restringing service for both necklaces and bracelets. We can carry out re-threading for most bead and pearl items, including quality south sea cultured pearls and semi-precious beads.
Alternatively, if you have a strand of pearls or beads that you would like to breathe some new life into, we can assist you in redesigning your piece into a new necklace or bracelet using your current pearls or beads.
